Shallow Arch Bridge

This unique and characterful bridge replaced an existing bridge that had reached the end of it service. The design of the new bridge took inspiration from the beautiful period property which overlooks the stunning gardens and lake.
Initial conversations with the clients provided the information to develop a successful concept design. The bridge was modelled in CAD and presented to the clients to ensure they were happy with the design. Additionally, the project plan and costs were presented to inform the clients and to meet their needs.
The materials
The existing abutments were able to be reused although one needed to be underpinned as the ground had washed away from underneath, this significantly reduced the amount of new concrete used.
